Carol R. Goforth, J. D.,  Business & Organization Advisor

Professor Carol Goforth is the former associate dean for academic affairs at the School of Law, a former Arkansas Bar Foundation professor of law, and now serves as the Clayton N. Little Professor of Law, a position she was awarded in 2000 and Inaugural Professor, Clinton School of Public Service

She is a 1984 graduate of the School of Law, graduating first in her class. She practiced law for five years in a Tulsa, Oklahoma, firm, specializing in corporate and commercial transactions. She then became a full-time professor of law at Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey, where she focused on business organizations, corporate finance, securities regulation, and related subjects. In 1993, Professor Goforth returned to Northwest Arkansas, joining the faculty at the School of Law. She has taught most of the business entity-oriented courses at the school, including Advanced Corporations, Business Organizations, Business Planning, Corporate Finance, and Securities Regulation.

She is the author of many publications dealing with a wide variety of subjects, including articles which focus on limited liability companies (LLCs) and limited liability partnerships, various securities law issues, and the ethical duties of lawyers who practice in limited liability entities. In 1999, she was elected to the prestigious American Law Institute, which consists of eminent federal and state judges, distinguished lawyers, and respected law professors. She was an active member of the consultative group on the ALI's Restatement (Third) of Agency project. In 2005, she was added as an official observer to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws drafting committee on Amendments to the Uniform LLC Act.

Judd E. Hollas, Technical & Financial Analysis Advisor/Consultant

 

Mr. Judd E. Hollas has over 10 years of experience as an independent technology analyst and investment manager.  As an analyst, he developed advanced research methodologies, quantitative modeling capabilities, and broad expertise in marketplace dynamics that were instrumental in the performance of his managed investments. His research focused on conventional and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on assessing the technical feasibility, competitive market viability, and economic potential of these technologies and the enterprises commercializing them. Prior to his career as an analyst and investment manager Mr. Hollas worked for several years on process and supply chain automation as a process engineer for Phillips Petroleum.

Mr. Hollas is the co-founder and presently the CTO of EquityNet, LLC (www.equitynet.com).  He is the chief architect of the patent pending EquityNet system and leads the Company’s efforts to develop and introduce innovative new products and services.  He is responsible for maintaining the integrity of commercialized technologies as well as driving the direction, development, and intellectual protection of future technologies.

Mr. Hollas worked for several years on process and supply chain automation as a process engineer for Phillips Petroleum.During this time, he gained valuable expertise in modeling and process automation of complex systems that spanned Phillips’ largest petrochemical facility. Mr. Hollas earned his B.S in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is currently pursuing accreditation as a Chartered Financial Analyst with the CFA Institute.

Mark W. Gieringer, Technical Information Specialist

Mr. Mark Gieringer holds a B.S.B.A. degree in Administrative Management from the University of Arkansas, and a M.S. in Aerospace Management, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  Mr. Gieringer is a writer, editor, teacher, pilot, and photographer.  He is the owner and manager of Stone Ridge Publishing, Inc., a professional writing service specializing in technical writing, and print and on-line documentation.

Mr. Gieringer is a retired Air Force officer and command pilot with experience in general aviation aircraft, the C-130, T-38, and AC-130 Gunship, and the F-4, A-7, and F-15 fighter aircraft.  As an Air Force pilot training academic instructor, he wrote complete courseware for numerous post-graduate courses and a new text for low-level flight training that was used throughout the command.

He was the Supervising Editor of The Mobility Forum, the safety magazine of the United States Air Force�s Air Mobility Command, for four years.  In addition, he was responsible for the updating of major manuals and regulations.  His articles have appeared in numerous national publications.
